Saturday was a pretty fun day!
In the morning we went down to the farmer's market before it got too hot to walk around and see all the fun stuff. We stopped at our favorite cheese stand and bought some co-jack from them. Yummy!
Dustin also got some more honey since we had long run out from last year's farmer's market.
Grace enjoyed seeing the water fountains, people playing music, and trains. Kyler was just kind of happy to be outside and sitting in his stroller, which he loves!
In the afternoon, Grandpa and Grandma came to take Grace fishing for the first time! Grace has been bugging Grandpa for awhile now so she was super excited!
It was incredibly hot and windy so we didn't know how much luck we would have at our tiny little lake a couple miles from our house.
Grace got to use the fishing pole I used when I was her age. Cool.
Grace did not want anything to do with the worms. Kyler wanted to eat them or pull them apart. So grandpa put them on the hooks and cast so Grace could just stand, watch her bobber, and reel in the string.
And here she is with her first fish ever!
Kyler thought the fish were pretty cool too.
All in all, Grace ended up catching 6 fish in about 45 minutes. Of course they were all little things we threw back, but it was perfect for her!
When we got home, Kyler wanted to show Grandpa his flowers that he likes to pick for mommy. Unfortunately, mommy doesn't like them being picked. He behaved and just pointed this time.
That evening we went to a Saltdogs game! Got to get a picture of the kids on the ball, which is one of Grace's favorite things to do! This was also Kyler's first game!
Note Kyler's awesome gel mohawk...:)
Before the game started some of the players from the other team came walking by. This player saw Kyler holding a baseball and stopped to play a little catch with him!
This was a long game! We left around 9:30, 2 1/2 hours into the game, and it was only the 7th inning! Grace was getting a little tired....:)
The kids slept good--it was a fun and busy day! Or as Grace said, "The best day ever!"
