What's up???

So the last few days have brought some little things I want to remember. They may be boring, but hey, it's my life and I love it (most days!). :)

First, we set up the Internet on our blu-ray player so Grace could watch You Tube music videos on the big screen. She loves it! So the next day after doing this, she tells us she wants to go downstairs so she can watch the "Blue Jay" do music. :)

Also, she has gotten the 12 Days of Christmas song down a little bit. Downtown on O street they had up Christmas decorations and they had lit up several items from that song, like a partridge in a pear tree, two turtle doves, and so on. Now every time she sees something like that or some geese by the side of the road, she says, "That looks like the five cocking birds!" She means calling birds, but hey, she tries! :)

Last night I cooked with fresh garlic for the first time. I freaking loved it! Can't wait to do it again. Don't know why I waited so long!

A few random thoughts I had throughout the day:

*Man, Kyler sure gets a lot of food stuck in his neck. After every meal you have to clean out the chub folds in his neck as you're sure to find at least one piece of food stuck in there!

*Wow, our toys are creepy! I walked into Kyler's room to put away some laundry and heard this weird, low moaning. It was the Leapfrog Tad whose batteries were near dead.

Today, when I was bringing up laundry from downstairs, Grace started yelling at me to hurry up. I freaked out since I thought something had happened to Kyler. No, she started yelling, "Mommy, hurry. It's Keith Urban on the radio!" She was right. He was singing on the radio and she knows how much I love him so she wanted to make sure I didn't miss it! :)

And today when talking to Grandma on the phone, she mentioned that we made daddy a chino this morning. She meant cappucino! :)

And today she named one of her baby dolls. This is a first for her as she hasn't taken much interest in her dolls and they usually are just named baby, doll, or Grace. Today she informed me that her baby's name was Fragile and that I was now a Grandma because she had her baby Fragile. She said baby Fragile came from her tummy and even nursed baby Fragile and burped her. While we were out and about doing errands, Grace said, "I sure hope baby Fragile is behaving at home." This is definitely a cute, new turn!

And these are the two cute little stinkers I got to play with today! Love how green Kyler's eyes are in this picture! Pardon any snot/boogers. He's fighting a cold.

And my performing little diva!

Happy Saturday!

Lane's Baptism

Yesterday we had the privilege of attending this sweet little guy's baptism!

The pictures from the actual church service are really dark and didn't turn out, so none of those on here. :( But we were so glad we were able to attend!

Here is Grandpa and Kyler at the lunch after.

Then we went out to see Adam & Melissa's new house and the progress on that. When we went back to play at their house, Grace was lucky enough to get a tractor ride from Uncle Adam!

Kyler and Lane played inside and we had a great day!

Life

So life is busy once again and I have been terrible about updating this!

I know this picture is outdated since it's from my side's family Christmas, but it's just way too cute not to post! And if you are an Office fan, you'll love Lane's little onesie! :)

Here are my two loves playing. I love Grace's face in this picture. She doesn't always like to share with her brother!

Grace has really been cracking me up lately. She is growing up fast and maturing as well!

Some of the things I want to remember about her at this age, 3 years 8 months old:

*Sings the instrumental part between words in songs. So in Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith, she will sing, "Red Solo Cup, ba da da, I lift you up!"

*While eating breakfast one morning, she just looked at me and said, "I just love you, Mommy!" Talk about sweet!

*She can actually make me laugh with her stories. She's truly becoming funny. Not that kind of thing where you laugh at the silly thing the kid is doing but laugh with them at a funny thing they actually came up with.

And here is my naughty little monkey climbing in my dishwasher. I have a similar picture of Grace doing this when she was around this age.

Kyler is just amazing. He just turned 10 months old yesterday and I hate how fast he is growing up! He's such a sweet little man and I love how much he loves his mama!

Kyler has lately started clapping and waving hi/bye.

Ky has also started standing up and not needing to hold on to anything to balance! He tried to take a step last night. I'm sure it's just a very, very short while until he starts walking!

And Kyler has started using his charm to get out of trouble! I will say, "Kyler, no!" and he will look at me and grin. Then he'll just go back to what he was doing. When I say no again, he gives me a bigger grin. Sad thing is, he's so stinking cute I just CANNOT get mad at his chubby little grinning face!

January 14th we got to go to a Blake Shelton concert at Pershing!

Thank you to Kristi and Tim for inviting us! It was a great concert!

And then the next morning we went to Lexington to meet a new baby! My friend, Robin, had her little guy the prior Monday and we were able to make a trip to meet little Benjamin! He was super sweet and so little! Grace loved him!

And here is my sweet guy. How do you not love this face??? :)
