Wow! Grace had her first day of preschool today!
I can't believe my baby is that old and that I'm actually old enough to have a child in school!
Anyway, the morning started off a little rough...
Grace screwed around and spilled her milk after I asked her to be careful and not screw around. Shocking, isn't it? :)
So, we had a rough start but we finally got dressed and out the door for a couple of pictures!
I plan to do this every year so we can look back over the years and see how her looks and aspirations change over time.
And of course we couldn't leave Kyler out! He got in on one of the pictures so I can remember this day with both of them!
Once we got to the school, we took a picture with the sign. There is a little pathway between all that tall grass and lots of sunflowers down to the prairie building where the preschool is held.
Grace forgot her backpack in the car so she didn't have it on her hook with her jacket. But don't worry--Kyler brought it for her when we came and picked her up so she could put her things in it! She was SO happy!
And she headed straight to a table to play. When she turned around, she said, "Goodbye." And she kind of looked at me like, "What are you still doing here?" I told her to give me a hug and a kiss and she was good to go! I don't think she even noticed when Kyler and I walked out of the room!
We went to pick Grace up and she was beaming! She said she had a great time and made some friends, even though she didn't know their names. :) Gotta love little kids!
She said she had fun on their nature walk and they looked at flowers. She also said that for snack time they had a donut! She didn't tell me a lot else about her day since I don't think she can remember it. The teachers also gave her a present to open at home. It was full of bugs!
Okay, they were little plastic bugs, but bugs nonetheless! Grace liked them....only because they were fake. I'm surprised she wasn't grossed out or scared!
Then I took the kids to McDonalds for a special treat since Grace had such a great first day of school.
I think Grace was very happy and she's looking forward to going back!
