So it's been a month again since an update! I guess our lives just aren't that exciting!
I found a couple pictures from this past month that kind of show what our lives are all about...
Kyler dropped a necklace of Grace's down into our elephant that blows plastic balls up in the air. Dustin had to tear the toy almost completely apart to get it out. While doing so, Grace picked up the elephant ears and said, "Look, a bra!"
She makes us laugh, that's for sure. And happily the necklace was removed and the toy reassembled and everything is working fine!
And this little booger thinks his footie pajamas are meant to be a challenge. He refuses to leave them on anymore and just takes them off whenever we try to get him to wear them. I have had to dress him at 2 in the morning when he wakes up shivering from being naked because he took them off. Footie pj's are a thing of the past in this house. He only likes tops and bottoms now. I guess that's good since *hopefully* we will start potty training soon.
Speaking of potty training, someone is looking pretty handsome in his Mickey Mouse undies!!! :)
He's not so sure what to think about this. He knows he's a big boy when he wears them but he also likes just his old diaper since it's so familiar. Kyler has peed in the toilet twice for us and knows he will get an M&M if he does. So he just goes, "Pshhh," with his mouth (makes a sound that sounds like him peeing) and then says, "M&M?" I think he thinks he's fooling me into giving him an M&M. Silly boy!
And the kids thought it was so cool that Mack was "smiling" the other day. Yes, he's just panting, but Grace was sure Mack was smiling. :) They love this shedding, licking fur ball of a mess.
And Grace and I finally had our slumber party I had been promising her. We went to the mall to get our nails done!
She loved her nails being done but didn't like sitting still for it. She especially didn't care for the lady doing her nails as she kept speaking in what I assume is Vietnamese. After we went and got Grace a new pair of dress shoes (desperately needed--her old pair was a couple sizes too small) with a gift card from Christmas. She picked them out all by herself. As we left the shoe store there were three mall security people standing there talking. One of them turned, looked at Grace, got a scowl on his face, leaned down, pointed at her and said, "You. Come here." She looked at me and I told her to go. He pulled a shiny token out of his pocket and told her to go ride the ponies. She was pretty excited since it was a token for the carousel. We stopped at Cookie Company on the way there to split a chocolate chip cookie. We made it to the carousel and she got to ride a pony. We left the mall after running into and chatting with an old classmate of mine and headed home. We got into PJ's, made some popcorn, and all four of us watched the first half of the Smurf movie. I had promised Grace I would sleep with her so we cuddled up in her bed (after I rocked Kyler, of course) and went to bed.
It wasn't too wild but she was thrilled to have her first little slumber party.
