Happy New Year 2013!
Last night for New Year's Eve we had a gift card to Famous Dave's so we went out for supper. It was good and then we did a little shopping after. Nothing too wild or exciting. The kids went to bed a little later than usual and Dustin and I stayed up to watch the ball drop at 11:00 on the east coast. That was enough for us!
2012 was a good year for us. Nothing too major or exciting changed in our family. No babies were born in our family and no new nieces or nephews either this year. We have friends who have added new babies to their families and were excited to go visit some of them! We were able to attend two weddings this past year, my good friend, Kristi's in March where I was honored to be a bridesmaid, and my cousin's wedding in September. Grace took a dance class at the Y and had a recital and she also started preschool this year. Kyler has become quite the little smarty pants and has become quite vocal and has grown into himself. He is quite the clown and likes to make people laugh. He is also a very, very, very physical little guy who loves to tackle and rough house.
Dustin's job has remained the same and mine as well. While I could call this year "boring" I would rather say blessed. We have had some good times with family and friends, getting to have a pool party in July just for fun! While the entire year summed up was not overly "eventful" I am thankful it was not marked by heartache or hurts, losses or deaths.
I hope 2013 brings us much joy and love. Even more so, I hope it brings us closer to Christ and His love for us.
And today, we were excited to have friends over to watch the Huskers play in their bowl game. We were sad that the Huskers lost, but it was great to see the Morton family! Benji turns one next week and we haven't seen him since he was a week old! He's grown up a lot this last year and is such a sweet, cute little guy! Here are the three kids today all sporting their Husker gear for the game! Loved seeing you Robin, James, and Benji!!!! So glad you were able to come by!
So 2012 is over. But so glad we have another year to make memories in!
